[ Press Release ] Metropolitan Workspace Launches The Urban Woods
Metropolitan “Metro” Workspace has launched The Urban Woods, a 10,000+ square foot warehouse-style flexible working space in Wong Chuk Hang, Hong Kong. The Urban Woods has been designed to meet the needs of the evolving market and the hybrid working trend which is sweeping the region.
“Flexible working is disrupting office culture and in this new era, hybrid working is an inevitable shift. We know that 70% of workers want flexibility while 65% simultaneously crave the connection of an in-person team. We have provided a thoughtful approach to hybrid work by creating environments and communities that lead to happy, productive teams”, says Founder, Joe Chan. “We are here to shake up the market in Hong Kong to improve conditions for workers while bringing value to landlords and the thriving start-up and SME community.”
In Asia, 47% of workers are considering changing their employers after challenges presented by inflexible working practices. Remote work has given employees more flexibility however, some teams have become siloed and digital exhaustion is a genuine and unsustainable threat to productivity and employee wellness. Reports have shown that employees want to come to a relaxed, flexible working environment and share authentic connections and be more “human” at work. Co-workers want to lean on one another through tough times and get inspired to be creative by working together.
The Urban Woods is a partnership between Metropolitan Workspace and the equally well-established, Mordril Properties. The management partnership evidences the brand’s forward-thinking approach to real estate management, a move away from traditional leasing agreements and towards management contracts with local
property owners and developers.
About The Urban Woods
The Urban Woods boasts 10,543 square feet of private offices, hot desks, and dedicated desk options for business owners and entrepreneurs. It also holds a dedicated event space, seminar room for 50 guests, and full meeting room facilities. The Urban Woods is the newest addition to Metro’s network of eight locations across Hong Kong and its members can enjoy citywide, cross-site access. Situated directly opposite the Wong Chuk Hang MTR, The Urban Woods is just two stops or 14 minutes to Admiralty. In recognition of the artistic and creative neighbourhood of Wong Chuk Hang and the industrial heritage of the district, the design of The Urban Woods maintains high ceilings, steel accents, huge open spaces, and bright, airy offices.
